The CYAP provides education and support to programs, coaches, parents and administrators, by publicizing the benefits of sports participation to the public, by acting as a clearinghouse for youth sports information and by conducting a variety of special events and programs.

What Does the CYAP Do? - The CYAP has several programs for year round sports for kids. We are constantly looking to grow our programs to help more and more children. Presently, we have youth football basketball, baseball, track and field as well as our other programs listed below.
- Childhood Illness and Condition Information Campaign (CICIC) “Providing the Information you need to keep your child healthy" program helping children in the first years of life.
- Former Pros for kids- is a program run by Rod Barksdale a former Pro football player. These players help in fundraising actives for non-profits and schools. They also help in training programs as well.
- Outdoor adventures- are a program developed to help introduce disadvantaged youth to the great experience of nature.
- All of our programs have anti-drug, tobacco and alcohol training.
The Community Youth Athletic Program (CYAP) is organized exclusively for charitable, educational purposes, more specifically to promote quality non-school sports and fitness for children between the ages of 3 and 19 through the community competitions and events. We educate children on the benefits, both physical and mentally of athletic competition. We provide comprehensive youth sporting programs and instruction for at-risk teens, with the aim of preventing delinquency, teen pregnancy, tobacco, and drug and alcohol awareness; improve childhood Nutrition as well as support community service. To this end, the corporation shall at all times be operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. |
